Cath Kidston

Cath Kidston is a much-loved designer, best known for her vintage-inspired homewares, clothing and accessories.

Cath Kidston began her career as an interior designer before opening her first retail shop in London in 1993, where she sold vintage fabrics and antique furniture. Now with more than 40 stores and concessions in the UK, plus more in the Republic of Ireland, Japan and South Korea, Cath Kidston Ltd is now a presence on almost every high street.

The popularity of Cath Kidston's designs increases year upon year; in addition to the signature florals and spot prints on cloth, the company has developed a wide range of products in response to a growing demand. Everything from bags, cushions, stationery, t-shirts, nightwear and babygrows are all part of the ever-expanding product range.

To date, Cath Kidston has published four bestselling project books – Make!, Sew!, Stitch! and Patch! – that encompass a wide range of disciplines and finished items, from sewing and patchwork to cross stitch and needlepoint. Last year saw the launch of two complete kits packaged in a unique tin book – The Knitting Book and The Crochet Book – that make ideal gifts. In addition to her books, Cath Kidston also has a very successful stationery line, which includes not only diaries, journals, address books and notecards but also decorated cupcake cases and even a preserve-labelling kit with toppers, labels and a recipe booklet.
